Definition of Injection Mold The mold used in plastic injection molding is called injection mold. The injection mold can make complex shape, high dimensional accuracy or with inserts plastic product at one time. The injection mold quality has a great influence on the plastic product quality. Structure and Composition of Injection Mold Main Formed Parts Injection Mold consists of core, cavity, screw, inserts and so on. 2. Gating System It is a channel that leads molten plastic from the nozzle of the injection machine to the closed mold cavity, usually consisting of main runner, branch runner, sprue gate and a cold slag. 3. Guiding Fitting To ensure the movable plate and the fixed plate can be accurately aligned when the movable plate is closed, the guide fitting plays the role of guiding and positioning. It is composed of guide pillar and guide sleeve, and some molds are also equipped with guide fittings on the ejector plate to ensure the smooth and reliable operation of the demolding mechanism. 4. Demoulding Structure There are many structural forms to demould. The most commonly forms are ejector rod, push pipe, ejector plate, rotary ejection and pneumatic ejection. Generally, it consists of ejector rod, reset rod, the ejector rod fixing plate, the ejector plate (ejector ring) and the ejector plate guide pillar / guide sleeve, etc. 5. Core-pulling Mechanism For plastic parts with side holes and side concave, before being ejected and demoulded, the sliders must be separated by side core pulling (lateral parting) before they can be demolded smoothly. 6. Mold Temperature Control System To meet the mold temperature requirements, a mold temperature adjustment system is required. Such as cooling water, hot water, hot oil, steam, cold air and electric heating systems to adjust the mold temperature. 7. Exhasut Air System To discharge the gas from mold, the exhaust groove is oftenly set at the mold parting surface. Here are some Safety operation rules for Blow molding machine: <1> Before starting each shift, add lubricating oil to each moving part. (manipulator, manipulator guide rail, mold opening and closing guide rail) <2> The swing arm 3-4 days/time. The large chain and small chain of the heating machine one time/month. Always check whether the main engine reducer and the heating machine reducer are short of oil. The main engine bearing can be every 3 months per time. The automatic blow molding machine has automatic lubrication oil device. <3> Before production, check whether the moving parts are firm, whether the screws are loose or falling off, especially in places with strong impact force, and whether the belt transmission part is abnormal. <4> When start machine, start motor first, after 30 seconds to start the heating part to prevent voltage fluctuations.Turn on cooling water before starting the heating. <5> Check whether each emergency stop switch, safety door switch, and detection switch of the protection device are normal. <6> Check the peform in, preform out and insert preform part. <7> Check whether the lamp tube damages or breaks. Change it in time. <8> Check whether each pneumatic component is leaking and whether the action is sensitive. <9> Check whether the triplet abnormally leaks and blocks. <10> Clean solenoid valve if abnormal. <11> Clean and polish blowing mold regularly. <12> To prevent the dirt blowing into valve, you must move slowly when opening the high and low pressure air source switch. At the same time, open the exhaust valve for 30 seconds to ensure air is clean. <13> When starting the fully automatic blow molding machine, make sure that the mechanical parts are in good condition, no person and no foreign matter inside. Close the safety door. <14> Check high-pressure air source, low-pressure air source, power supply and water source. <15> After starting heater 2-3 minutes, oven temperature rises evenly. The output power has a great influence on the heating preform, which controls the heat output of the entire oven. Bottle mould During the production process, keep the mold constant temperature, clean, and unblocked vent. When the mold heating and cooling system fails, the bottle neck will be tilted. The volume and height will change, and the bottom will become heavier. Maintaining the mold constant temperature can also prevent condensation on the mold surface. After PET molding, the shrinkage rate is relatively large, generally 1.8%, and it is slightly reduced after adding glass fiber reinforcement, but it still reaches 0.2%-1.0%. Under normal circumstances, high mold temperature shrinkage rate is large, low mold temperature shrinkage rate is small, in order to maintain the stability of PET bottle volume, mold temperature must be strictly controlled. Generally, the temperature of the bottle body is slightly higher, which is 20-45℃, and the bottom requirement is lower, which is 6-15℃. High bottom temperature will make the bottom heavier and the center point thicker.
